" It is great to see this Race and Conscious Equality  ( RACE) Charter Mark, in collaboration with the SSAT, being launched for schools and colleges. Education creates a vital pipeline of young people who will eventually enter the workplace or become entrepreneurs and business leaders with employees of their own. Whatever the career path, the values of diversity, inclusion and belonging need to be within the education environment as children and young people learn, and they need to see role models and examples of inclusive leadership. 

 The Race at Work Charter creates a framework for action that can be used in education or in business and it is great to see that it has been embedded as a critical component of the Race Equality Charter Mark assessment."
