The Confident Executive Leadership programme is the premium programme for BAME leaders in the UK. Through utilising the experience of CEOs, experienced headteachers and advisors, the programme guides participants, whilst re-affirming the skills, knowledge and understanding required to lead a school or group of schools through to sustainable improvement. With a proven track record in senior leadership, our facilitators have the drive and desire to impact on our leaders of the future in order to ensure that more BAME leaders move through to the positions of Headteacher, Executive Headteacher and CEO.

About the Confident Executive Leadership programme
The programme focuses on the key skills, knowledge and understanding needed to lead a school or group of schools.
It is a programme which both challenges and supports, whilst acknowledging that schools can be busy places and participants will need periods of reflection.
Uniquely, we are particularly targeting BAME leaders because of the low statistics realised in the current school leadership model.
Entry Requirements
You will be an aspiring or current BAME senior leader, headteacher or executive leader.
Although there is no formal application form, you will be required to undergo an interview assessment which is designed to ensure that this programme is the right one for you.

How will the programme be delivered?
The whole programme will be delivered through live, online webinars.
When will the programme start and finish?
We are recruiting now for Cohort 8 - September 2024 start.
The programme will last for up to 12 months.
Will coaching be available as part of the programme?
We will support and mentor our participants through the programme. In addition, if you require formal coaching (which we would certainly recommend), then this can be arranged at an additional cost.
Why the Confident Executive Leadership Programme ?
"The closest we get to a training programme for school improvement leadership these days is the NPQEL. The NPQEL is a programme with an identity crisis. Is it for CEOs, for executive leaders (those leading more than one school), chief operating officers, or school improvement leaders? It’s hard to tell. It’s a programme that tries to be all things to all people – but, in my view, as a result, doesn’t yet offer enough depth or relevance to those moving specifically into improvement leadership roles. "

Cost of Programme
The cost of the programme is £2,950, plus VAT. There are four payment options, including payment in full or in instalments. Option A (payment in full) includes a 15% discount with early applications. Applicants can consider requesting financial assistance from their schools. Schools, in the past, have covered the whole amount or have agreed to share the cost with the participant. Approximate cost of similar courses, but which are not as bespoke, with less content are between £4,000 - £10,000 plus VAT. We believe that our course is bespoke, and presents excellent value for money.
